Those were Mandy’s words as we sat down to talk about how Nag Bags came to exist — the moment she realized that what began as a simple solution for her own horse had grown into something much bigger than she ever imagined.
Nag Bags was born right here in our barn, built out of necessity, countless trials, and a whole lot of research. Scottie, the horse of a lifetime, was struggling, and the deeper we looked into modern feeding practices, the clearer it became that something was missing.
What started as one net for one horse slowly became a small movement and then, a community.
Today, nearly 20 years later, we’re honoured to reintroduce ourselves with a fresh new look to a community that has grown alongside us. Still family-run, still hand-assembled in British Columbia, and still guided by the same values inspired by the horse who started it all.
We couldn’t be more excited to share this new chapter of Nag Bags with our small but mighty community. This brand has always been shaped by you, and we hope you’ll ride along with us as we continue building a brand grounded in care, connection, and a deep love for the animals we serve.
Our new logo carries a gentle tribute to Scottie — the horse who changed the way we feed, and unknowingly shaped the beginnings of Nag Bags.
